LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (August 1, 2017) – Travel Nurse Across America (TNAA), a North Little Rock, Arkansas-based healthcare staffing agency, awarded their Fall $2,500 Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Scholarship to London Griffith, of Van Buren, Arkansas.
Griffith attends the University of Arkansas – Fort Smith, and is on track to graduate with a BSN in December 2019. Travel Nurse Across America scholarship recipients are chosen by a competitive analysis of open response questions. Griffith’s written responses clearly identified where her passion for the industry stemmed from, and how perseverance and hard work are helping her achieve her goal of becoming a labor and delivery nurse.
“My passion for wanting to become a nurse began when I was just seven years old,” said Griffith. “The painful experiences, happy moments, and trying times in my life have shaped me into the person I am today and the kind of nurse I will be in the future.” Griffith’s professional goals include travel nursing and working for the Mayo Clinic.
“It is with direct intention that our company is held to high standards of integrity; which includes our leadership, internal employees and travelers,” said CEO Gene Scott. “Through shared testimony, this year’s scholarship recipient clearly defined how her educational, personal and professional goals align with the integrity and core values of TNAA.” TNAA awards one fall and one spring semester scholarship, each valued at $2,500. The scholarship is intended to encourage nurses to pursue advancements in education, while laterally investing in the future of the healthcare industry.
The TNAA education committee reviewed and considered all completed submissions before selecting the fall 2017 recipient. Those who were not chosen are encouraged to apply for the spring 2018 BSN Scholarship.
