Coral Springs Medical Center sits in the gorgeous Pompano Beach area, and it is located just three miles north of Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, along the south Atlantic coastline. If you take an assignment here, you will find recreational activities thrive around the beach including: boating, beach volleyball, swimming, diving, picnicking and more. A half-mile sidewalk extends all the way out to the beach, where the beautiful, soft white sands and shady palms stretch for twenty-three miles. But the beach activities are not the only things you'll love. Coral Springs Medical Center is a 200-bed community hospital that has been providing comprehensive general medical and surgical services to Broward County since 1987. Featuring more than 50 medical specialties, Coral Springs is a leader in addressing the health and medical needs of the northwest Broward community.

Coral Springs specializes in inpatient care, and surgical services. They also have an exciting and innovative 24-hour adult emergency department that, together with the ED for Kids, provides care to more than 45,000 patients annually. The Emergency Department includes a Chest Pain Center, offering rapid evaluation and intervention for people who suspect they are experiencing a heart attack. The ED also offers a "Fast Track" program for patients identified in the nursing triage as "less critical." These patients are treated in a separate area with the goal of providing quality care, with a quicker turn-around time.

And when you're off shift you can hang out at the beach, head over and wager at Pompano Park Racetrack, or do a little shopping at the Festival Flea Market Mall. The flea market features more than 800 stores, booths and kiosks that sell brand name merchandise at discount prices.
