I am nervous, I have never done anything like this.
Nervousness, excitement and curiosity are the three common emotions among applicants considering a traveling nurse job or allied travel position.
We have
travelers between the ages of 23 to 65 years old who have chosen to travel for various reasons. Money, adventure
and freedom tend to be the number one reasons people choose to keep traveling. Most of our travelers complete
multiple travel assignments because they get hooked on traveling. What other career offers you excellent money,
free housing & insurance, temporary work from Hawaii to Alaska, Florida to New York while meeting new people,
experiencing various cultures and seeing the entire country? None that's as rewarding as traveling healthcare professional!

What happens once I apply?
One of our recruiters will contact you via phone or email to discuss destinational options, your available date
to start, licensing considerations, benefits you will receive and answer any other questions you may have. We will
then submit your profile to several of our client hospitals and attempt to arrange a telephone interview between
you and the hospital.
|
 |
 |
What happens during the interview?
This is an excellent opportunity for you to 'interview' the hospital and the hospital to 'interview' you. Some phone
interviews last only 5 minutes, some may last up to 35 minutes. We encourage our new travelers to write down a list of
questions to ask the hospital. Our goal is to make sure the assignment is a good fit for both traveler and hospital.

What about licensing?
Licensing varies state to state. Some states are members of the Nurse Licensure Compact, so your current license may be a sufficient credential.
Other states offer a temporary license that is valid between 90 days and 1 year.
The process of getting a temporary license varies from each state also. Some states are 'walk through' states and only
require about 7-12 days to process, while some states may take up to 3 months. We will assist you in obtaining
your new temporary license. We will pay your license fee and any associated costs.

What about housing, furniture, utilities, basic living arrangements?
You will arrive to a One bedroom furnished (PRIVATE) apartment located near the hospital. Utilities will be
turned on and waiting for you upon your arrival. We will also assist you in contacting the telephone and cable
TV companies. Your furnished housing and basic utilities are free. Cable TV, telephone and pet fees
are the only items required by you. If you choose to provide your own housing, we offer a generous housing subsidy
between $900 and $3000 per month (determined by geographical location). Most housing subsidies are tax free reimbursements!
|
 |
 |
How do I get to the travel assignment?
Most of our travelers drive while a few will choose to fly. Choose mileage reimbursement, airfare, or a generous travel allowance for expenses to your assignment.
|
 |
 |
What should I expect at the hospital?
Your first day /few days at the hospital will consist of orientation. You will then begin working the pre-determined
shift that you and the hospital agreed upon during your initial phone interview.
|
 |
 |

Do you do strike work?
We do not offer 'strike work' targeted assignments. If you are on an assignment at a hospital that goes on strike
during the course of your assignment, you have the choice of working or not working. It's up to you.

How long are the assignments?
Most are 13 weeks, but may range from 8 to 52 weeks. If you are a first time traveler, we recommend a 13 - 26 week travel
